Scene light up to show three men seated in a bar house having some drinks,among them is Adeoye,the other two men are his friends, Akanbi and Charles.
Charles:so you mean you burn you wife's hand because she refuse to give you the money
Adeoye:yes,the slut is disobeying me,as if that is not enough she was even asking me that how do I spend my own money
Akanbi:Adeoye! You are only been a fool, why on earth will you do that to your wife,when did you become so cruel
Adeoye:how?
Akanbi:what do you mean by how? Look here,this is unfair, I think I will have to let you know some things this night,I don't like how you treat your wife,that is why I stopped coming to your house, the last time I came to your house I met you beating your wife, if I didn't come to your house that day,you might have beaten her to pulp
Adeoye:look here,you are not talking like a real man,my wife is just rude,she deserves whatever I do to her
Akanbi:well that is not what real men do,real men treat their woman like queens
Charles: look here Akanbi,woman needs to be treated with iron hands and moreover you can't blame Adeoye,women are devil
Akanbi:but not the Abeke I know,Abeke is a blessing among women, she doesn't deserve a demon like you
Adeoye:whatever! You can marry her if you like her
Akanbi:well it will be nice if you change your behaviour
Charles:please guys,let us leave that aside and pop some champagne
Adeoye:yes my guy

1**ABEKE POV**
I had to force myself to go to the clinic to treat my hand,I was ask of how it happened,and I told them I had mistakenly left my gas turn on and it result to fire outbreak.The doctor didn't belief me because he also treated other wounds which I got from Adeoye beating,but I hate telling people about my misfortune,I have even been avoiding most of my friends.Some of you will think I am a fool but no! I am not,I vowed before man and God that I will spend the rest of my life with him for better for worst,and for my daughter,my pride,tiwalolami,I have to bear my cross because I want the best for her,I knew I had lost my beauty,my smile but my daughter gives me the reason to live and the hope that I will laugh last.If I should run away like she suggest,it won't be long before we run out of money,my boutique was already bankrupt with the essence money he demands from me time to time without any tangible reason,I regretted for making him the ownership of my property,every of my property was written with his name as the owner.I handed over everything to him atleast he was my husband,we plan to will it to Tiwalola in the future but now I have been duped..
Two weeks after the incident,I was coming back from the clinic after cleaning my hand,it was really healing fast and I was glad,I got home having it in mind to prepare lunch for tiwalola that would soon be back from school but I met another shocking sight,right there in the sitting room I saw my husband making out with another woman, my bag dropped as I screamed and they disengage with anger written all over his face
Adeoye:don't you ever know how to knock
Abeke:Ademi! How dare you?
Adeoye:what?
Abeke:you brought another woman into my own house,and not just any woman,your mistress!
Adeoye:oh! So you don't know that you are the mistress and she is the wife,look here! This is my new wife,and no one,not even you will tell me she can't stay in this house
!
Abeke:oh! I see, Ademi when did you become so. Callous,so heartless,so this little thing is why you have been maltreating me
Kemi exhale sharply as Adeoye gave abeke a slap that made her fall
Kemi:Adeoye!!
Adeoye:please kemi,let me treat this slut a lesson
Abeke: (she raised her head up and touched her mouth which was now dripping with blood)oh yes, beat me,just kill me,is that not how you have been treating me,making me a punching bag,you had better kill me,how could you be cheating on me...Abeke:how could you be cheating on me when I never for once cheated on you with another man! And if you had to do that must it be under my roof!...
Adeoye:your roof my foot!.. So when did you learn to speak back when I'm talking
Abeke:I seize to respect you from now on,yes! You can beat me all you want but I won't beg you again
Adeoye descended on her and start beating her,kemi was trying to pull him back,but the more she tries,the more he get angry and kicks Abeke, suddenly the door opens and Tiwalola comes in and screams
Tiwa:father!

Adeoye stops immediately,and straighten up as Abeke struggles to get up, kemi tries to help her up but Tiwalola shout at her
Tiwa:don't you dare touch her!..(faces Adeoye) but father why?..what has she done to deserve all this,father are you insane or what???
Adeoye looks surprised and even Abeke
Abeke:Tiwalola,shut up!..don't you dare talk to your father like that
Tiwa:oh mother please stop this.. He is a monster,father! ...oh why do I even call you father, you don't deserve to be my father,I hate you so much!
Adeoye chuckles as he tightens his fist,and Abeke knew that if she didn't do something,he will pounce on tiwalola,so she rush forward quickly and gave tiwalola two quick but resounding slap, Tiwalola looks shock as she stares at her mother in amazement
Tiwa:mother!... You slapped me
Abeke:(regretfully with pain in her voice)I told you never to talk to your father that way,now apologise to him
Tiwalola stares at Abeke as the tears roll down her cheeks,she look at her father and speaks
Tiwa:he doesn't deserve one and I will never apologise, I'm only defending our right if you can't
She walks away into her room and kemi who has been moved by the show,picks up her bag,and mutter a sorry to Abeke and walk out
Adeoye:kemi! Kemi (he hold her but she jerks his hand off and told him it was over with them and drives out
Adeoye:i will be back for you and your daughter.

**ABEKE POV*
I never had intention of slapping her but I had to do it to save her from Adeoye wrath,I was scared that he could hit her when I saw him tightening his fists,I regretted slapping her but I was glad on the other side that I slapped her because if I didn't I would not be able to watch Adeoye beat her, I guess my life is getting complicated day by day,my fearfulness increase day by day,I start to regret ever meeting Adeoye,I wished I had never met him.I went to Tiwalola room as soon as he left but it was locked,I knock on the door but there wasn't any response
Abeke:Tiwalola,please open the door
Tiwa:(crying)please leave mother
Abeke:my daughter,I am begging you,please don't do this to me,I am very sorry for hitting you
Tiwa:how could you mom? How can you? Since you prefer dad to me then go to him... I hate everyone
Abeke:please my pride, don't hate me! I regret slapping you to but I had no choice, I didn't want him to hit you,I only did it to protect you,please open the door
The door open and I try to hug her but she stepped back,I smile sadly and pleaded with my hands clasped together and she allow me hug her.
Abeke:you should know I will never hit you without any reason,he was going to hit you and that is why I had to slap you from preventing him
Tiwa:I thought you love him more than me
Abeke: No,my pride
Tiwa:who was the woman with you and dad
Abeke:(she sit down)your father's mistress
Tiwa:why did he hit you again
Abeke:I insult him and talk back,I guess I shouldn't have done that
Tiwa:{I sat down beside her and hold her hand}mother,you did the right thing, you should learn how to fight back
Abeke: It will only get me in trouble,if I didn't talk back,he would not have hit me
Tiwa(sighs) I love you so much mother
Abeke:I do too
**ADEOYE POV**
I went straight to Kemi's house but the door was locked from outside,I was disappointed,I had thought that she would come home straight but I was wrong,I was really fuming with anger for what happened, I couldn't bear to lose kemi like that and kemi was always true with her words, I was going to beg her and make Abeke and Tiwalola suffer for this if I ever lost kemi,I waited a bit but it seems she wasn't coming home,then I drove out but headed to the club,I am going to drink to stupor so I can forget every damn thing...
